In the Bhagwad Gita, Krsńa tells Arjun (Ch XIV, III)
मम योनिर्महद् ब्रह्म तस्मिन्गर्भं दधाम्यहम् |
(mama yonir mahad brahma tasmin garbhaṁ dadhāmy aham)
Translation :
The vast universe, is the womb.
The Genesis project is an event of Singularity.
Based on Creation Myths that draw both from the Biblical Idea of Genesis as well as from Rig Veda concept of Hriyanagarbha (the Golden Womb) and Swayambhu (Self Manifestation) as mentioned in the Purusha Sukta, talks about the primeval cosmic being, a singularity, the Purusha - as all that has ever existed and will ever exist.
Using dance, projection of the elemental chakras and photography; the project explores this from darkness to light, charting the process of evolution. The Conceptual Narrative intermingles the play of Space, Darkness and Light, of cognitive patterns creating a visualization of a spatial mental dreamscape - symbolically projected on the 'Purusha' - attempting to illustrate the event of cosmic genesis
Who really knows, and who can swear,
How creation came, when or where!
Even gods came after creation’s day,
Who really knows, who can truly say
When and how did creation start?
Did He do it? Or did He not?
Only He, up there, knows, maybe;
Or perhaps, not even He.
